Viral Vector Facility
Principal Investigators:
Purposes of the Viral Vector Facility include (1) providing vectors for viral gene transfer to the members of the CRC 870, (2) advising members of the CRC 870 about vectors suitable for specific applications, (3) designing and improving viral vectors according to requests from the CRC 870, and (4) developing and providing new tools for gene expression, manipulation, and detection as needed. Existing platforms consist of MLV-based retroviral and HIV-based lentiviral vectors. Targeted lentiviral vectors will be created by specific pseudotyping. New platforms will include AAV vectors of various serotypes.
