The Collaborative Research Center 870 (also Sonderforschungsbereich 870) "Assembly and Function of Neuronal Circuits" was successfully renewed by the DFG, providing more than €9 million over 4 years to continue increasing our knowledge of neuronal circuits. The center will continue to support the established intensive interactions between researchers working on the assembly and function of neuronal circuits, as well as broadening the center's conceptual framework to include new topics and model systems. Projects on myelinated axon structure regulation, role of RNA binding proteins in neurogenesis, as well as locomotion dependant neural processing were successfully integrated into the third funding period.
